Photography
Photography has always been an important part of my life. I have traveled the world capturing memories through the lens and I have snapped everything from people, and places to things. I used to struggle with the concept that I was not in the moment enough if I was viewing everything through the lens of a camera until one day I realized that when I have my camera in my hand I’m actually MORE in the moment. When I am taking a picture, I am looking very closely at the world and exploring every detail of the texture, light, and color of my subject. When I look at the photos I have taken, I can even remember the smells and sounds of the places they were taken.

When you work for a non-profit sometimes you are a one woman show! I am very proud of the Hopeliner. It showcases so many of my skills from copy writing and photography, to graphic design and publishing! I do every inch of this piece from start to finish. While I did not actually hold the camera for these videos, I developed the concept, wrote the scripts, and worked very closely with the videographers to produce the final product.
